Emmy winner for HBO’s The Night Of, Riz Ahmad, has been rumored to be in contact with the biggest streaming platform, Netflix. The actor is planning to do a contemporary version of Shakespear’s classic, Hamlet. There have been minor touches to the original script as per the need of the time. The new script has been developed by Riz Ahmad’s close friend, Mike Lesslie, who has been his friend since the time of college.
The altered script has been based in the hustle and bustle of London where the major theme of Hamlet has been embedded to the core concepts of power, greed, moral duty, and corrupt practices within a hierarchical structure. Actors who have previously performed the role of Hamlet include Ethan Hawke, Kenneth Branaugh, Mark Rylance, and Oscar Issac.
