The Furman Paladins baseball team has certainly been enjoying the warm baseball weather of late. It seems that the Miami (OH) Redhawks sent some of their weather this way this week in preparation for this weekend's season-opening series. The Redhawks will be welcomed into Latham Stadium on campus for a three-game set. Last season, Furman and Ohio similarly opened their respective seasons in a weekend series hosted here at Furman. In that series, Furman started the season with an impressive 4-game season-opening sweep. The Paladins hope to mirror last seasons' start with a successful weekend of baseball against the Redhawks. Furman plays host to Miami at 4pm Friday, 12pm Saturday, and 1pm Sunday. Following the weekend series with Miami of Ohio, Furman will play host to Presbyterian College on Tuesday at Latham Stadium at 4pm before making the short trip down to Spartanburg to play against USC-Upstate on Wednesday afternoon. The next weekend (Feb. 24-26) will provide an exciting weekend of baseball with Miami of Ohio making a return trip to Greenville to play in a 3 team series with the Paladins and Michigan State at downtown Greenville's picturesque Fluor Field. Furman will open that weekend with a Friday evening (5pm) game versus Michigan State before playing against both Miami of Ohio (12pm) and Michigan State (5pm) on Saturday. Get excited for two weekends of great Paladin baseball! Come out and support your Furman Baseball Paladins!
