No Spring Break Plans?
Spring break is quickly approaching so people have begun making plans to have a fun vacation. Some may be going to the beach in Florida, or to Mexico. If you don't have plans yet for spring break then don't worry! There are always plenty of things to do during spring break whether you think there is or not.
If you have a car and don't mind spending money then why not get a few friends together and drive down to Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach and spend a week at the beach? You could get a cheap hotel and just lounge at the beach all day, and when the sun sets, go enjoy the city's nightlife. If money is not an issue then why not consider a cruise to Mexico or a nice Caribbean island and enjoy the crystal clear beaches over there. Take a friend from back home and treat them to a simple but exciting mini vacation filled with the traditional amusement park. Don't forget the water park, maybe a cheesy karaoke bar or a classy nightclub. All the things you may secretly want to do, but have never said out loud.
If you want to be with your family, then suggest an old-fashioned family road trip where you make various stops at little family-run restaurants and cheesy exhibits. If that's not your style, then just spend quality time with your family. You can't forget the occasional visit with your friends from back home though because everyone knows that you have to get away from your parents sometimes.
If you're an outdoorsy person, then you could pack up your belongings and enjoy the outdoors by hiking or rafting , or even both! You could take a nice long hike and then decide that it would be fun to set up a tent and camp out. Then the next day you could go rafting or even kayaking. The outdoors are endless and are a perfect fit for a laidback but exciting spring break.
If you absolutely have to go back home but don't want to leave your friends, then take them with you! Show your friends the place where that you might call home. Show your friends the places that used to be cool, the school you attended, and last but not least, let them meet your parents. Nothing is more embarrassing to you, or funnier to your friends than your baby pictures and home videos.
Either route you decide to take for spring break, just remember, have fun and enjoy the fact that you don't have class for a week.
