Assassin’s Creed Origins is the recent game in the franchise which was released on PC and gaming consoles. The game was released on 27th October but failed to perform as expected. Ubisoft has been known for its versatile games and innovative storylines but unfortunately, the recent games produced by the company have flopped miserably.
The game producers have tried to add more games to their existing franchises but that’s the main objective which has caused trouble for the companies. Companies usually augment their game lines in their franchises for lucrative gains and more fame. Till now, Assassin Creed has been a renowned gaming franchise that has been producing games since 2007 so almost a decade has passed and the quality of gameplay and storyline has unfortunately diminished.
The formula and recipe for achieving success has been disastrous for Ubisoft because producing games with huge investments with weak plots only result in low gaming ratings and unsatisfied customers. The games after 2011 have proved to put a bad name on the brand due to improvement in just the graphical interface and no factor of novelty concerning the storyline.
Assassin Creed Origins is an open-world game designed to keep the fans loyal to the franchise but there is no distinguishing factor in this game that can keep the gamers attracted to it. Minor alterations to the game cannot justify the high production cost of such games which are eventually passed on to the customers who pay premium prices for pre-orders and purchases.
The storyline is somewhat the same, the continuation of exploring the origins of the Assassins in the story which has been a prolonged plot for many gamers and analysts, and something new was expected from this game which it failed to provide to the customers.
The franchise needs a break and a complete makeover of what the next game plots should be like because the story concerning the origins of different assassins have taken longer than it deserved.
